We used a Fram PH3614. To be able to spin on the filter, you have to make a nipple that screws into the block. It's a 3/4" fine thread. We sawed off a 3/4" bolt and then rifle-drilled it with a 1/2" bit. Use a jam nut to secure the nipple to the block. Otherwise, all the machining is there to run the spin-on filter. The motor mount interferes with the filter or is very close to it, but you can hack off a corner to give clearance with the filter.
